I entered this series of jewel portraits in the World Photography Contest that just finished. I did Not win. The problem might be that jewel pictures are not very popular at this point in time. I saw none others. However, I still like the work that I did and thought that I would show you it here. Following is the text that went with my entry.
A
favorite sign of affluence, wealth and success for a person has always been the
jewels that they wear. I have always wanted to find the perfect jewel for a
superb living/working environment but, sadly, they are never large enough to
really be seen. So I created this series of jewels for environments that are
successful enough to merit a jewel collection just to tell the world that
someone thinks they deserve it.
I
chose This particular selection of jeweled images to have a cohesive color
scheme that would marry them in a
cluster of works as well as individually. The size of each individual image
could be varied or the same, as well.
